Points of Interest - Escape from Wisconsin Edition

Sunday night I flew to Chicago and then drove to Milwaukee for what was supposed to be a quick day of meetings, with a flight home on Tuesday afternoon. Instead, it turns out that I flew right in front of a winter storm, so I didn't get home until late on Wednesday. All that to say that the stories for this week are a little on the light side, since I was eyeballs deep in work and snow. Anyway, on to the links!

Pen Review: Franklin-Christoph SIG nib from Audrey! - The Well Appointed Desk

Hearing such a glowing review of Audrey’s SIG nibs makes me very happy. I’m a huge fan of my Rouse SIG, and I can’t wait to pick up one of Audrey’s SIGs. It's a great grind that really suits my particular handwriting style.

My writing finances, 2018 - Dan Moren

I was never a freelance writer, and I don't think I'd ever care to be, but I've always been fascinated by those who are. It's really neat to see Dan publish stats like these, since it's so rare to see this sort of transparency.

The Great Grey Fountain Pen Ink Comparison - Fountain Pen Love

It's a running joke in my house that I have trouble distinguishing between certain shades of grey, green, and brown. (Sailor Rikyu-cha and Robert Oster Melon Tea are basically impossible for me to identify correctly.) But seeing all of these greys side by side makes it readily apparent which ones I like and don't. Diamine Earl Grey is a favorite ink at the moment.

Again, a short one this week, but it'll be back to the grind next week!
